As you know SU doesn’t allow us to stamp card kits for you, so you’ll need to provide your own stamps or order the Curvy bundle.

Bow Punch Cherry Cobbler Card

Inspired by Kelly Jo Daugherty

I love this card as it is so simple and so beautiful.

We cut 21” of ribbon for this card.  You’ll need to kind of lay it on the package to see where to cut it into two pieces.  The ribbon is just wrapped around the “package” and attached with scotch tape.

The bows are punched out for you.  Layer the red designer paper bow onto the white bow offsetting it a little bit.  Add the bow center using a dimensional and attach the bow to the card using dimensionals.

Stamp your greeting and attach to the card with dimensionals.

Add the red gems and you’re all finished.

Products used include:

Gift Wrapped bundle, m12
Perfectly Plaid stamp set, 60
Winter Woods, 61
Cherry Cobbler card stock, 142
Whisper White card stock, 143

Dimensionals,162
Red Jewels, 156
Shaded Spruce wide ribbon, m31 (I love this ribbon)

Copper & White Tree Card

Original by Karen Hallam

Isn’t this card beautiful?

I didn’t list the page number for the ribbon as I think the one we used is retired; however, we did put ribbon in your card kit.

Attach the embossed copper foil to the white card stock as shown.  Then add the ribbon. The embossing was done using the Evergreen Forest embossing folder.

Stamp the greeting and place it on the card as shown.

Add the white tree, and then add a few dimensionals under the cut parts of the tree.  We used mini dimensionals and left the backing on some of the dimensionals.

Add both kinds of stars and you’re finished.

Products used include:

Winter Wood stamp set, 61
In the Wood dies, 181
Peaceful Bough stamp set, 57
Thick Whisper White card stock, 153

November Incentive Cards Sneak Peek

Hello Friends,

These are the November incentive cards.  I wanted you to have a sneak peek in case you want to make them.

The packets aren’t out yet but will be before too long, I hope.  I was exposed to covid a week ago so we are quarantined and waiting to find a place to be tested, as my doctor ordered.  Therefore, it will probably take a bit longer for the packets to be finished.  It’s a real bummer since I’ve been so careful.

If you place an order which is $50+ and you place it online using the host code, I’ll send you a packet of four card kits.  The host code is:  MAZH44TY.  You can see the cards at www.stampinlady.com.  You’ll need to click on Blog.

Stampin’ Up! has given us a special release–the Quite Curvy Variety Bundle. There is one large bundle, which has two stamp sets as well as the dies; there’s another bundle that has one stamp set & the dies.  There’s also a beautiful set of 6 x 6 Christmas designer paper. These sets are available now as a sneak peek from the upcoming mini catalog.  They are beautiful.  Have a look!  You can see these bundles at www.stampinlady.com and by then clicking on Shop Now, Shop Here.

I’m getting ready to finalize my list of recipients, for the new mini catalog, that Stampin’ Up! will send out for me.  If you’ve purchased from me during the last year, you are already on the list.  If you haven’t purchased from me lately and you’d like for me to send one to you, just let me know and I’ll add your name to the list.

Many hugs, Pat

Swap Cards From Our Second October Lunch Bunch

Just a quick post to show you the swaps from our last Lunch Bunch.

We each furnish our own lunch and chair and we sit outside 6 feet apart.  We visit, eat, visit, swap, and visit.  I think we all love it.

I’d love to schedule one with you if you’d like.  I need for it to be at least 2 people and no more than five.  Just send me a date that would work for you, and I can spread the world and see if we get a few more (unless you have 5).

I think we’d better hurry to schedule it as it’s getting chilly up here.  Let’s try—if the weather is bad, we’ll try rescheduling.  If that doesn’t work, I can mail the swaps out.

By the way, starting tomorrow Stampin’ Up! is offering us a chance to purchase a bundle from the mini catalog that will go live in January.  It’s a wonderful bundle called Curvy Celebrations.
There are two sets available with this bundle and of course, a set of dies.

I don’t think you’ll be able to see it until tomorrow.  Then you’ll be able to see it at www.stampinlady.com , and then click on Shop Now, Shop Here.  November’s host code is MAZH44TY, unless you’re placing a club order.

If you place a $50+ order during November, I’ll send you a package of four card kits.  If your order is over $150 and not a club order, please don’t use the host code.  You can then claim the host benefits for yourself.

Please let me know if I can help.  303-888-1862 for calling or texting and 303-674-6435 for calling.

Thank you so much; I appreciate you every day.

Many hugs, Pat

This is my swap.

October Incentive Cards’ Recipes

In our last post we gave you a preview of some beautiful cards.  In this post we will give the directions and recipes. The page numbers refer to both the annual catalog and the most recent mini catalog (designated with an “m”).  If you do not have these catalogs, contact me and I will be happy to send you a set. You can also click on my “Shop Now” tab and you will be connected with Stampin’ Up! website where you can view and order from both catalogs.

As a reminder, you will receive this package of 5 card kits when you place a $50 plus order during October.  Many of you have already qualified.

For Unto Us Navy & Copper Card

Original by Linda Williamson

Isn’t this card beautiful?!?!

Please be careful as you remove the pieces from the envelope.  There are lots of little pieces in a plastic bag.

It’s going to be really easy for you to assemble.

The copper foil has been run through the Big Boss using the Evergreen Forest embossing folder so all you need to do is to adhere it to the Brightly Gleaming designer paper.  We put a piece of printer paper on top of the foil to keep it as perfect as possible–just a little tip.

There are dimensionals under the white circle.  The little copper stars are attached with glue dots.

Products used include:

For Unto Us stamp set, m 35
Peaceful Nativity bundle, m 17
Night of Navy card stock, 142
Shimmery White card stock, 153
Copper Foil,153
Brightly Gleaming designer paper,  19
Night of Navy pad, 142
Diamonds, 156
Stitched Shapes dies, 183
Evergreen Forest embossing folder, m 35

World Peace on Earth Dove Card

Original by Bethany Barnard

Score the Misty Moonlight card stock at 5 ½”.  You’ll then have a regular size card base and a short piece for the bottom.

Attach the designer designer series paper to the top piece (part of the card base) and also the extra piece of Misty Moonlight card stock.  This piece becomes the bottom front of the card.

Then you can build the front piece of the card which attaches the bottom piece to the card base.  The tip that I have is to be sure not to put adhesive on the entire front piece as you’ll just want it on each end.

Slip the world into the hole.  You’ll probably want to use little bits of glue to hold it in.

The dove is attached to the card using dimensionals.

 Products used include:

Beautiful World bundle, 26
Dove of Hope bundle, m 13
Misty Moonlight card stock, 143
Whisper White card stock, 143
Flowers for Every Season designer series paper, 148
Gold Foil, 153
Misty Moonlight pad, 143
Diamonds, 156
Dimensionals, 162
Stitched Rectangles dies, 183

Arrange a Wreath Birthday Melon Mambo Card

Original by Karen Logeman

This one is just as shown.  Everything is cut for you.  The embellishments are in a little plastic bag inside your envelope.

Adhere the designer paper to the white card base and then start building your wreath.  Attach the wreath with little bits of glue on the leaves.  Then add the flowers.

Attach the greeting piece. And add the jewels.

There’s a piece of white ribbon in your bag of embellishments.  Tie and bow and attach it with glue dots.

Products used include:

Arrange a Wreath bundle, 127
Here’s a Card stamp set, 39
Melon Mambo card stock, 142
Whisper White card stock, 143
Granny Apple Green card stock, 142
Highland Heather card stock, 143
Gorgeous Grape card stock, `142
Mango Melody card stock, 142
Flowers for Every Season designer paper, 148
Gorgeous Grape  pad, 142
Mango Melody pad, 142
Melon Mambo pad, 142
Diamonds, 156
Gold Glitter Enamel Dots, 157
Crinkled Seam Binding ribbon, 161

Toile Snow Wonder Card

Original by Anne Wallace

This card is very easy.  You’ll just need to assemble it.

Attach the two pieces of designer paper to the Real Red card base.

Add the Wrapped in Texture piece of Real Red card stock.

Stamp greeting on to Very Vanilla piece and sponge the edges with Real Red pad.  Attach it.

Add the two Wonderful Gems.

Products used include:

Snow Wonder stamp set, m 39
Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set, 62
Real Red card stock, 142
Very Vanilla card stock, 143
Toile designer paper, m 34
Real Red pad, 142
Wrapped in Texture embossing folder, m 9
Wonderful Gems, m 31
Sponge, 147
Banners Pick a Punch, m 65

Peaceful Boughs Card

Original by Brian King

Attach the embossed piece of Crumb Cake card stock to the card base.  (The reason we give you this extra piece is that after card stock is embossed, it becomes more easily torn.)

Assemble the Cherry Cobbler and designer paper layer and adhere to Crumb Cake piece using dimensionals.

Stamp your circle with a stamped off branch or other stamp of your choice and then stamp your greeting.  Attach it to the designer paper as shown.

Use glue to attach the bough.

It can certainly be used as a masculine card if you wish.

Products used include:

Peaceful Boughs bundle, 57
Blossoms in Bloom stamp set, 51
Crumb Cake card stock, 142
Cherry Cobbler card stock, 142
Plaid Tidings designer paper, 142
Whisper White card stock, 143
Shaded Spruce card stock, 142
Cherry Cobbler pad, 142
Shaded Spruce pad, 142
Green Glue, 162
Dimensionals, 162
1 ½” Circle Punch, 165
Stitched Shapes dies, 183

October Incentive Card Sneak Peek

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

Here are the cards that you’ll receive kits for when you place a $50+ order during October.

I’m so excited as we have five cards for you this month, and of course, I love them all. I’ll post the ingredients and directions as soon as I get them finished.

The Plaid Tidings card (Crumb Cake & Cherry Cobbler) is a last minute addition.  I just fell in love with one very similar when I saw it.  It would make a great Christmas card or masculine birthday card.  I wanted mine to be Thinking of You so I can use it for my sending-out-cards campaign.

Please remember that there are many packages of designer paper on sale during the month of October, including Plaid Tidings—it’s regularly priced at $11.50 and is on sale now for $9.78.  It’s a really good deal.

If you’d like to place an order this month, please use host code:  P7PB9XGR.  To place an order, please go to the Shop Now tab and then click on Shop Here.  If you’re placing a club order, please use that hostess’s code.  If your order is not a club order and it’s over $150, please claim the host rewards for yourself.

Enjoy these cards—they’re so much fun!

If you need to call or text me, you may text or call me at 303-888-1862 or call at 303-674-6435.

Thank you so much; I appreciate you every day.

Many hugs, Pat

October Lunch Bunch Swaps

Preface by Jim

Well, our experience with HostGator was terrible (mostly off-shore response who did not have a clue).  We are going to stick with GoDaddy.  We will still need to transfer our blogs and websites  to a new platform, but the fact that we are staying with GoDaddy means that there will be almost no interruption.  That means Pat will be posting as often as she can and you are all welcome to enjoy and comment if you wish.

Now to Pat’s post:

Hello Friends,

Yesterday was a Lunch Bunch get together and we, of course, had fun.

We each furnished our own lunch and our own chair.  We visited, ate, swapped cards, and visited some more.  It got a little chilly after lunch so we grabbed our jackets and/or blankets and moved into the sun.  I got to introduce granddaughter Molly to some of “my ladies”. It was great.

I’m including pictures of our swaps.  I love all of them as I’m sure you will, too.

This one was made using the Peaceful Nativity Bundle, which is shown on page 17 of the mini catalog.  The number is 155161 and the price is $43.  It also uses our beautiful Plaid Tidings designer paper.  It’s on sale for the month of October for only $9.78 versus its regular price of $11.50.

These two were made using the adorable Merry Moose Bundle as well as other stamps, etc.  It’s a really good bundle as it comes with the moose punch as well as a stamp set that contains 17  stamps, including 5 greetings.  It’s shown on page 27 of the mini catalog.  The number is 153015 and the price is $31.50.

I made the last one.  I used the new Celebration Labels Dies from the mini catalog as well as the Ridiculously Awesome stamp set and the Small Bloom punch from the annual catalog.

I can certainly give you more information about these cards if you’d like to have it,  If you want to order any of these supplies or anything else, please go to www.stampinlady.com and click on Show Now and then on Shop Here.

If you do place an order, please use host code: P7PB9XGR unless you’re placing a club order or if your order is over $150. If your order is over $150, and not a club order, please claim the host rewards for yourself.  It’s a great opportunity to earn those host-only stamp sets in the back of the catalogs—they are bargain priced.

I think we can still plan a Lunch Bunch for you—the weather will be the determining factor.  Please let me know if you’d like to plan one.  We need 2 to 4 guests, and unfortunately, you need to bring your own chair, and table if you want to stamp a card.  Just let me know of an available date for you, and I’ll try my best to make it work.

If you have any questions, please call or text me at 303-888-1862 or call at 303-674-6435.

I appreciate you every day.  Thank you so much, Pat

The Amazing Love of Leaves Bundle

Preface by Jim.  Pat and I are very frustrated that there have been times when you could not load her website/blog over the past week.  The problem does not involve the migration over to HostGator (not going well).  GoDaddy’s legacy servers were hit with a major hacking attack and they put the servers into what is called a mitigation status and that shut us down for quite a while.  The mitigation process also affected several of our website/blog settings and that further disrupted our service.  I think we are back to normal now.

Now to Pat’s latest blog post:

Stampin’ Up! has done it again.  They’ve given us the most amazing stamp set & die bundle.   I’ve updated my Love of Leaves post as I want to once again tell you that you really do need to own it.

We’ve just now posted a picture of the catalog page, which shows the leaf stamps and their coordinating dies.  You really can’t tell from these pictures how beautiful the stitching makes the leaves.  But, there are several cards that have been posted here in the past couple of weeks.  Please take a close look at the leaves themselves.

If you look closely at the pictures which were posted earlier, you’ll see that the leaves have stitching on them.  Each leaf has two dies; one die cuts out the outside of the leaf and the other one fits inside and creates the stitching.  You can send them both through your die cutting machine at the same time.

You can either stamp the leaves or cut them out of colored card stock as some of the samples show below show.  There’s also a large die that kind of looks like a city skyline that puts stitching on the outside of your card.  It is very unique and adds so much.  (The second card in the most recent post shows how the skyline-looking die looks on the side of a card.  I’ve seen cars, which have that die used on both sides of the card.)

I also want to tell you about the sentiments.  They’re such useful ones. Here they are:

I’m so glad you’re in my life
Thank you
I thought of you today
Hello
Your friendship is something I know I can count on
Hope changes everything

You’ll notice in the samples below that we’ve used the Plaid Tidings designer series paper on a lot of the Love of Leaves cards—it’s a really good fit and it’s on sale for the month of October, along with many other designer series paper packs.  Most of them have a regular price of $11.50 but with the 15% discount, they’re just $9.78.

If you want to purchase this bundle or anything else during October, please use host code:  P7PB9XGR, unless you’re placing a club order or your order is over $150.  If it is over $150 and not a club order, please claim the host benefits for yourself.

As always, you can reach me by text or call at 303-888-1862 or call at 303-674-6435.

Thank you so much.  I appreciate you every day.

September’s Lunch Bunch Swaps

A quick preface by Jim.  The migration from GoDaddy to HostGator seems to be bogged down so we are making a post while we sit in queue.  Again, I want to emphasize that Pat’s website and blog will be fully functional during this process and you can visit at your leisure.  Now to Pat’s Post.

I want to share the swaps I received at the past week’s Lunch Bunch & Swap. They are beautiful and adorable and I’m so happy to have them.  I asked the swappers if I could post their cards on my blog and everybody said yes.  However, it was a split decision about giving credit to the swapper, so I won’t list the creaters’ names.

If you’d like to do a Lunch Bunch and Swap or just come visit and bring your own lunch, please let me know a date that will work for you.  I think we’re all enjoying them, and it’s an outing.

These two are made using the Love of Leaves bundle.  This is a bundle that I believe everybody should own.  It’s very different than any bundle that we’ve ever had before.  I’ll tell you more about it in a later post.

These two are so Christmasy.  Aren’t they adorable and beautiful?  The cabin card features the Snow Front, and the candy cane card is made using a scalloped punch.

This sympathy card is so elegant.  Love it.

Isn’t this little post it note holder adorable?  I love that owl. There were several to choose from and they were all so cute.

This is the card that I swapped.  It features the Arrange a Wreath Bundle.  I don’t remember who the original was by, but I fell in love with this card as soon as I saw it.

You’ll probably notice that several of the swap cards feature the Plaid Tidings designer series paper.  It is so versatile; there are many colors in the package and each sheet seems to be put together perfectly.  There’s a black & white sheet that I love but haven’t yet used.

Please let me know if you have any questions:  text or call 303-888-1862 or call 303-674-6435.

I appreciate you so very much, Pat

New Posts will be on hold for a few days

Hi all, Jim here.

We are in the process of migrating our web hosting from GoDaddy to HostGator.  I will give you more information on the reasons down below if you are interested in technical minutia {grin}.

During the migration we will not be posting to our blogs.  Any posts (or comments) made during the migration will be lost (more minutia below).

The migration process will take up to 5 days.  When we make the actual changeover to the new host, there could be a short period where we will be off line.

During the migration, you will be able to use all of the functions at stampinlady.com.

If you have any questions please contact us:

Email:  pat@stampinlady.com
Phone or text – Pat:  303-888-1862
Phone or text – Jim:  303-478-3501

What follows is technical minutia:

Nine years ago we switched our hosting to GoDaddy.  It was a great experience for many years.  However, GoDaddy has slowly migrated to a less helpful host who had chosen to charge rather high yearly costs for services that other hosts provide free of charge.

In addition, we are hosted on rather outdated servers with what could be called a legacy platform.  That platform has significant restrictions that compromise the integrity of our websites.  We must spend a significant amount of effort to convert our websites/blogs to what is called a cPanel platform.  cPanel has become the standard platform for all hosting companies.  The old legacy servers will be turned off at the end of the year.

Since I need to make all of our websites/blogs compatible with cPanel, I have made the decision to switch our hosting account to a cPanel account on HostGator.  They are highly rated and provided several services that GoDaddy no longer provides (or charges outrageous prices for).

Jim
