Fractured Technique Tartan Foil Card

Original by Carolyn Wagner

This one looks very difficult and it’s very easy.   You’ll need to assemble the front of the card before you attach it to the card base so that you can trim off some of the ends.

Adhere the black square to the Tartan Foil piece.  Begin adhering the quarter-inch strips by placing one end of the strip to the Tartan piece at the one corner of the black square.  Then you’ll butt the next strip against that strip and continue around the square until all four strips are attached and the black piece is framed.  You can then trip of the tails of the strips.

We put the narrow piece of Tartan on the inside with one of the leaves near it.  You’ll then have 3 leaves for the front of your card.  They’ll go on top of the black square as shown.

There are dimensionals under the greeting piece.

Supplies used include:

Botanical Layers stamp set, 107

Beary Christmas Deckled Circle Card

Original by Ida Van Schalkwyk

This card is very easy and it is already scored for you as the front is narrower than usual.

Adhere the front piece of designer paper to the narrow card base front.  Wrap the ribbon around the front of the card, joining the ends on the designer paper where they’ll be covered by the circles.

Stamp the inside piece and adhere it making sure that you have enough room for the red stripes piece.

Adhere the two circles together as shown and attach the bear with dimensionals.  Ensure that you don’t put dimensionals on the part of the circle that extends beyond the edge of the card front.

The greeting piece also has dimensionals under it.

August 2023 Rewards Cards (a bit late)

September 23, 2023

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

Here are the directions for the August rewards cards.  I’m so sorry that they are so late.  We have been traveling a bit (playing instead of working).  Your packets should go out in the mail this week.

I love all of these cards, and I hope you do, too.  They’re easy and beautiful.

The next couple of months’ rewards cards may also arrive late as we have a bit more fun planned.  The first one coming up is a reunion with all of my Iowa cousins in Iowa.  It looks as if my sister may actually get to go this time.

Our next event is scheduled for November 17th.  It will be Bingo.  Mark your calendars as everybody loves Bingo.

Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.  Call or text 303-888-1862,

Many hugs to each of you, Pat

Masterfully Made Designer Paper Card

Original by Amy Koenders

The five pieces for the front of the card are stacked so that it will be easy for you to keep the pattern in order.  There is another piece of dsp that does not go on the front—it actually goes on the inside.  It isn’t stacked with the other five pieces.

We’ve started using a product that we haven’t used much before.  The die cut piece was backed with adhesive sheets (p. 138) before it was die cut.  All you need to do is peek off the backing and apply it to the pattern.

There are mini dimensionals under the greeting piece.

Supplies used include:

Color Stripes Waves of Inspirations Pelican Card

Original by Brian King

Your card will look a tiny bit different than ours as you’ll be trimming off the strips after you have them all adhered.  (We used a stitched circle die to cut the circle out after the strips were applied.)

You’ll need to use glue to attach the strips to the black circle.  Any colors or any order of the strips will be great.  When you begin and when you end, the top and bottom strips will only have a little bit showing, as shown in the picture of the sample.

After attaching the strips and then trimming them off, attach the circle to the Crumb Cake card stock with dimensionals.  The silhouetted pelican is attached with tape runner and the birds are glued on.

Supplies used include:

The banana is stamped and in the basket.  You’ll just need to angle the punch to punch it out.

So Refreshing Lemonade Card

Original by Sharon Armstrong

This one looks a lot more involved than it is.  The little strawberries and little lemons are stamped and cut out for you.  They’re in a little baggie in your packet.

The smallest white piece is for the greeting.  The next The pitcher is cut out for you.  You’ll need to stamp the contents (background lemonade) with Lemon Lolly ink, and add the slices with Daffodil Delight ink.

The long white piece is where you’ll first stamp the glass outlines & lemon outlines.  Be sure  to  stamp the outlines before stamping the insides as it’s hard to see where to stamp without the outline.

There are dimensionals under the pitcher, Lemon Lolly greeting piece, and the two lemons on the “tablecloth”.

Patchwork Pieces Dies Rainbow Card

Original by Melissa Nabbe Matusench

I love all the pretty colors in this card.  We talked about how pretty it would be in Fall colors, too.

There’s a frame in your kit that you’ll use to put the pieces together; you won’t actually put the frame on this card.

Start with the smallest piece you have; it will be the top piece.

Your pieces will probably go together in a different order than the sample.  We cut card stock with the die six times so that we’d get all of the different colors for each card.

Copper Clay Daisy Card

Karen Titus 3 x 3 Designer Paper Cut

We first cut the designer paper into a 3” square and then cut that square into three 1-inch pieces.  Therefore, your pattern will match.

Just leave a space for the greeting to be stamped on the Lemon Lolly card stock.  Have I mentioned that I think Lemon Lolly is the most beautiful yellow that we’ve ever had.

You’ll need to fussy cut the raised daisy, and then put dimensionals under it.

Add adhesive to the back of the Pretty Peacock frame.  The floral piece is almost as long as he frame so you may need to trim it after it’s affixed.

To cut the designer paper, I cut one-half inch off from the 12 x 12 sheet (where the stems are), and then I cut the piece at 5”.

Stamp the greeting using Pretty Peacock ink.

Finish assembling and add the diamonds.

Gone Fishing Nested Dies Card

Original by Christine Blain

I really like this card.

Stamp your greeting piece and attach it near the top using dimensionals.

You should have 3 fish—two facing in one direction and the other one in the opposite direction.  Lay them in place to determine where you want them.  You’ll probably need to trim them to fit.

Wrap the Pebbled Path ribbon around the top two layers of the card and tape it to the back.  Cut the blue jute in half and double it to tie a know around the Pebbled Path ribbon.

Supplies used include

Gone Fishing suite, 78-79
Celebrate with Tags, 45
Nested Essential dies, 165
Pebbled Path card stock, 122
8 ½ x 5 ½

Berry Burst Earthen Textures Card

Inspired by Su Mohr

The embossing on this card is very unique.  Place the white card stock into the Stripes embossing folder at an angle.  This size card stock and the embossing folder will fit through the Cut & Emboss machine angled, because the embossing folder is narrow.  It makes a great look.

There’s a funky looking die piece in the Earthen Textures set—it embosses only.  The vase is embossed with it.  It’s a fairly light embossing look, but it really adds texture.

There are dimensionals under the foliage piece and also under the vase.

Supplies used include:

Earthen Textures suite, 70-71
Artistically Inked stamp set, 114
Stripes & Splatters embossing folder, 169
Berry Burst card stock, 122
8 ½ x 5 ½
Basic White card stock, 123

Gorgeously Made Pretty Peacock/Wild Wheat Card

The leaf piece designer paper was attached to an adhesive sheet before it was die cut. Now all you need to do is peel off the backing and it will be self adhesive.

The rest of it is exactly as it looks.

The sequins in the Adhesive-Back Sequin Trio are beautiful.  They’re very shiny as I’m sure you can tell.

Inked & Tiled Lost Lagoon Card

Original by Amy Koenders

I stamped the borders of this card with an Inked & Tiled flower stamp to give it a bit of texture.  It barely shows. You can use a flower that you have or omit it.

I attached the ribbon by laying it about where I wanted it to determine where to put the glue dots that will hold it in place.  I then stuck the ribbon to the glue dots.  I added dimensionals to the back of the greeting piece to hold it in place, over the ribbon.

 Hello Irresistible Fence Card

Original by Debbie Chronister

The way this card is cut is that you score the 11 x 4 ¼ card stock at 5 ½ and then cut seven half inch pieces from one end.  We then put ran them through the emboss & cut machine using the timber embossing folder.

The Post-It tape is quite helpful for getting the slats in place.  We’ll be happy to show you.  You need about a 6 inch piece of the tape and it can be used more than once so you might want to stick it to your card bag and take it home with you.

When adhering the flowers, you need to put the tape runner or glue on the slats so that the adhesive won’t be coming through the slats.  The bottom flower is attached with dimensionals that are first attached to the slats.  Then place that flower on last.  Tuck the leaves under the flowers.

Copper Clay Fresh as a Daisy Card

Original by Lavonne Schwendeman

Stamp the leaves & stems using the Shaded Spruce pad.

The daisies are cut apart for this card.  Just snip them apart and round the petals as desired.  The large daisy is attached with mini dimensionals under the petals.

For the Copper Clay greeting piece, we just snipped the ends of the die cut off and then attached the white greeting piece to it.  There are dimensionals under the copper piece.

We accidentally used two different daisy stamps for the inside and the envelope.  You may use either or both.

Hello Irresistible Peacock & Yellow Card

Original by Rachel Tessman

The paper is scored for you.  You’ll be folding at ½ x 4 ¾ from the left edge.  (If this weren’t directional paper, you could decide which side of the dsp you want for the front of your card.)  The half inch side will be on the back of the card.

The 1 ¼” section folds to the front where you’ll insert the narrow Pretty Peacock piece before attaching to the front of the card.  To insert the Pretty Peacock strip, put a strip of tape runner on the back of the folded piece at the edge so that you can attach the strip and then you can add adhesive to the whole and affix the folded part to the front of the card.

Adhere the half inch fold section to the back of the card base (pretty peacock).

Decide where you’re going to put the greeting pieces and then place your small leaves as shown and attach them with green glue.

There are dimensionals under the Pool Party greeting layer.

Thank you so much!  If there’s anything that I can do for you or if you have any questions, please call or text 303-888-1862.

Many hugs to you, Pat

Sending Smiles Daffodil & White Card

Use the stamparatus to get a great image for the “Sending”.  Place your Daffodil designer paper as shown on the stamparatus.  The Granny Apple Green marker is in the tub in case you need to fill in where the stamp meets the dsp.  The inside black dot for the larger flower is on a block; please use the black marker to fill in the spot on the smaller flower.  There are dimensionals under the greeting.

Pretty Peacock Hello Irresistible Card

Original by Rachel Tessman

This is one of my favorite cards of all time; you can see both sides of the designer paper.

I’ll be happy to help you if you need me. The paper is scored for you.  You’ll be folding at ½ x 4 ¾ from the left edge.  (If this weren’t directional paper, you could decide which side of the dsp you want for the front of your card.)  The half inch side will be on the back of the card.

The 1 ¼” section folds to the front where you’ll insert the narrow Pool Party piece before attaching to the front of the card.  To insert the Pool Party strip, put a strip of tape runner on the back of the folded piece at the edge so that you can attach the strip and then you can add adhesive to the whole and affix the folded part to the front of the card.

Adhere the half inch fold section to the back of the card base (pretty peacock).

Decide where you’re going to put the greeting pieces and then place your small leaves as shown and attach them with green glue.

There are dimensionals under the Pool Party greeting layer.

Fold all of the score lines.  Attach the three pieces of designer paper to the front of the card.

Stamp the greeting on the back of the card.

Attach the bridge piece to each side as shown.  The tape runner works great for holding the bridge in place and the sticky won’t be a problem as you’re going to place the brick embossed pieces over them.

The greeting is stamped on the back.

Share a Milkshake Card

Original by Jill Olsen

You’re going to use two different stamparatus plates to create your milkshake glass—one at a time.  One of the plates will come across and the other will come down.

Using the stamparatus and Coastal Cabana ink, stamp the bottom layer of the glass (the solid stamp).  Then using the other plate of the stamparatus and the Bermuda Bay pad, stamp the top layer of the glass (the detail layer).  Set that piece aside to dry.

Banner the Fresh Freesia card stock as shown and stamp it using Highland Heather ink.

Add Wink of Stella to the glass and let dry.

Assemble as shown putting dimensionals under the ice cream.

Add the cherry, putting it into the little slot in the ice cream.
