Retiring List and Sale

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

Just a quick note: retiring list & a sale!

Today, March 24th is a big day for all of us.  Stampin’ Up! will release the retiring list at 1:00 p.m. Mountain Daylight time.  This will be for the annual catalog only.  The retiring list for the mini will be published about a month later.

They are releasing the list and have announced that there will be sale prices.  I’ll see the list at 1:00 also so I don’t have any advice for you.  I guess the tip that I can give you is to decide what you really want and be ready with your list—the reduced-price items will fly off the shelves.

You should be able to see the list by clicking on Shop Now, Shop Here at 1:00 today.

March’s host code is:  RBKS42K7. A $50+ order will get you March’s packet of four card kits.

I’m getting ready to submit my list of names for Stampin’ Up! to send catalogs.   If you’re a regular customer of mine, you’ll receive your catalog mid April.  If you don’t have your own demonstrator and would like to have the new annual (big) catalog, just let me know and I’ll have one sent to you.

Thank you so much; I appreciate you every day!

Many hugs, Pat

Butterfly Brilliance Card

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

We have a bit of a let’s make lemonade situation with the butterfly products.  The designer paper is no longer available.  I think we can find other designer papers that will work well under a solid color detailed butterfly.  I’d love to see what you come up with.

So, if you’ve purchased the collection or parts of the collection from me, or plan to, we’ll have a little fun with it.  If you’ll email or text me a picture of a card that you’ve made with the bundle, I’ll give you a $10 credit to use on your next order, and we’ll post it on my blog with your name on it.  My March host code is: RBKS42K7.

The $10 credit will be yours as soon as I receive your card.  The offer will expire on April 30.

The products are:

155821  Butterfly Brilliance bundle, $54.75
156825  Natural Touch Specialty paper, $5

It’s such a clever bundle in that you receive a large die that cuts out all six butterflies that are arranged the same way the stamp is so that you can stamp all six of the butterflies at once. (I used my stamparatus to get a perfect stamped image.) The die set also includes a detailed die for each of the six butterflies, as well as several other dies.

I saw a card that another demonstrator created that I’m hoping to be able to show you next week.  It uses the bundle in a very clever way and I’ll hopefully have a great sample to share with you.

I hope you decide to play along (make lemonade) with this clever bundle.  It really is wonderfully clever.

You can email or text me at 303-888-1862.  Please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you in any way.

Thank you so much; I appreciate you every day.

Many hugs, Pat

Gorgeous Grape Butterfly Brilliance Card

 Original by Sarah Cade

This card is very easy as everything is cut for you. It is so beautiful!

Attach the largest piece of designer paper to the card front.  Then attach the middle piece to it.

Cut your ribbon in half and use it to wrap around to the back.  Scotch tape it in place on the back.

Attach that entire assembled piece to the card base.

Attach the butterflies with glue dots in the middle so that you can fluff the wings.

You have a small piece of Natural Touch specialty paper on which to put your greeting.  It doesn’t absorb the ink at all so it takes awhile to dry and it will smear until it’s dry.  You might want to use a heat tool to dry it or emboss it with clear embossing powder after stamping.  You could also use your StazOn pad, but it will also take a few minutes to dry. Please remember that StazOn will stain your stamps—I wouldn’t use it with the polymer stamps.

Add your diamonds.

This card is put together for you.

This is how it was done.  I love this card.

Attach the Highland Heather embossed piece to the black card base and then add the designer paper.

Stamp the Highland Heather flower base on the white card stock and then add the Gorgeous Grape layer.

Add the greeting so that you can ensure that you have enough space for it. I stamped the greeting with the Memento black pad.

Add the stem piece stamping with Mossy Meadow ink.

Assemble the layers—there are dimensionals under the smaller black piece.

Ice Cream Cone Card

Original by Patty Bennett

Attach the smaller embossed Blackberry Bliss card stock to the card base as shown.

Attach the designer paper to the Bumblebee card stock.

Lay the cone and scoops of ice cream on the designer paper in the order you want them to be and then start adhering them.  There are dimensionals under all of these pieces,  I put dimensionals at the top of the ice cream scoops only so that everything would be the same height.

Stamp and add the greeting using Blackberry Bliss ink.  I didn’t put dimensionals under it, but I wish I had.  I will on the next one.

Attach the Bumblebee/designer paper layer to the card base.

Add 5 or whatever odd number of sprinkles that you wish.  I attached them with little tiny dots for glue.

I added a cone to the envelope and to the inside.  I stamped the cones with Cinnamon Cider ink and then added the detail with Cajun Craze ink.  I then glued an ice cream scoop that I punched out to each of those two cones.

Supplies used include:

Ice Cream Cone Suite, m 48

Darling Donkey Card

 It’s very easy to create.

Add the designer paper from the Field & Flower package to the Flirty Flamingo cardstock and tie the black ribbon around that entire piece.  You can make a bow or just a knot.

Color your donkey (I’ll list the colors that I used below.) and let him dry for a minute or so and then cut him out using the Layering Ovals. You’ll also need to cut out a black scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals.

Either punch or die cut the greeting pieces. I added the “sponging” with a blending brush.

Attach the donkey pieces to the card front piece using dimensionals.

February Incentive Cards

Hello Stamping Friends,

We now have this month’s incentive cards for you.  The packets aren’t ready to be sent out yet, but I want you to see them.

I’ll send you a packet of four card kits when you place a $50+ order. You need to place the order online using this host code:  TRQANZ4C.

This month’s cards are especially cute and beautiful, and some of the supplies are FREE to you when you place $50 order during Sale-a-Bration.  You only have until February 28th to place your Sale-a-Bration orders where you may choose a SAB gift for every $50 in orders that you place (before tax & shipping).

Here are the cards:

I’m still searching for the original creator.

I put a little dot of glue between the two layers of daisy punches.  Then I used the Blending Brush to add a little Pool Party ink to their centers.

I used dimensionals under the daisies and also under the yellow center.

The black card stock is embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder, which is a new one.

I left the sentiment piece full size so that you can determine what size you need for your greeting.  You can just snip the ends off if you want it as small as mine.  I used mini dimensionals under the greeting.

Assemble as shown and add your ladybug, attaching with a glue dot.

Supplies used include:

Stamp your flower using Seaside Spray and Soft Sea Foam ink.  Adhere that piece to the Night of Navy oval.  Set aside.

Adhere the two pieces of designer paper to the Night of Navy card stock and wrap that entire piece with the Misty Moonlight ribbon.  I attached mine with scotch tape on the back.

Attach that piece to the card base.

Add the die cut flower—I used a tiny bit of glue on the back of the flower center.

Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick Bundles — Limited Time Only

Stampin’ Up! is giving a us a treat beginning February 2nd.

Do you remember the Hey Chick stamp set that was available as a Sale-a-Bration gift in 2017?  Everybody loved it then and now it’s back—but so much better.   There’s now a set of dies available only during this promotion.  So, you can either order just the dies or if you don’t have the stamp set, you can order the entire bundle.  See the details below.

And, there’s more.  There’s now a second bundle available—meet Hey Birthday Chick.  It’s available as a bundle or the stamp set and dies can be purchased separately.

I’ve created a card for you.  I’d love to give credit to the person who inspired me, but I cannot figure it out.

These are adorable; I’m an Iowa farm girl and never thought I’d see dies for a corn stalk and ears of corn.  The stamps and the dies are so unique.  Check them out.

Here’s my February host code:  TRQANZ4C.  Please use it unless you’re placing a club order or unless your order is over $150 and not a club order, in which case you may claim the host benefits for yourself.

Here are the pictures and the details:

Hey Chick Bundle, 158627, $44, includes Hey Chick stamp set (which you might already have) and the Chick Dies.  Only available during the promotion.

Hey Chick Stamp Set, 158190, $17, 7 cling stamps.  Only available during promotion.

Chick Dies, 158199, $32, 19 dies.  Only available during the promotion.

Hey Birthday Chick Bundle, 158631, $43.  Only available during the promotion.

Hey Birthday Chick Stamp Set, 154464, $21.  Will be available in the January-June 2021 mini catalog.

Birthday Chick Dies, 158200, $27.  Only available during the promotion.

Here’s the card I created.  I think it’s so cute and the “hair” reminds me of myself some days.

Hey Chick & Hey Birthday Chick Bundles Card

This card is so much fun and everything is cut out with the dies—even the corn!

The first thing I did was cut an oval out of the center of the designer paper.  The designer paper is cut at 5 ¼ x 4; I cut a smaller piece of white card stock 5 x 3 ¾ to attach to the back of the dsp.  Be sure to glue just around the edges of the white before attaching it as you’ll need to slip a few items into the oval and under the dsp.

I colored the chicken with Blends as listed below—I don’t think you could make a mistake.  After you color it, cut it out using the die.

I first put the corn stalk down using green glue and then added the ears of corn. I put the ear of corn into its little husk using glue dots and then I used more glue dots to attach them to the stalk.

I used dimensionals behind the sign itself and just glue to tuck it into the oval.

Use dimensionals to attach the chicken.

I once again used green glue for attaching the “Happy Birthday”.  I think it would be cuter to have this greeting a little lower on the card.

Supplies used include:

Hey Chick & Hey Birthday Chick bundles
Daffodil Delight card stock, 142
Basic White card stock
Well Suited designer series paper, m67
Shaded Spruce card stock, 142
Soft Suede card stock, 142
Glue Dots 162
Dimensionals, 162
Memento pad, 147
Soft Suede pad, 142
Blends:  Lt & Dk Daffodil Delight, Lt & Dk Pumpkin Pie, Dk Poppy Parade, Dk Shaded Spruce, Lt Night of Navy,142
Stitched Shapes dies, 183

I hope you enjoy this card.  Please let me know if you have any questions.  Please call or text me at 303-888-1862.

Many hugs, Pat

January 2021 Incentive Cards

Fine Art Floral Pretty Peacock Card

This is a very easy card and I think it’s beautiful.  It’s made using my favorite suite in the catalog—the Fine Art Floral suite.

I used the new Blending Brushes to add a little Pretty Peacock ink to the embossed Pool Party card stock.  They’re very fun to use and I love the way they work.  After I finished,  I just rinsed it out with water.

Attach the Pool Party piece to the card base.

Wrap the 10” piece of Pool Party sheer ribbon around the Pretty Peacock and designer paper layer and tie a knot.  Add that layer to the Pool Party layer using dimensionals.

Stamp your greeting using Pretty Peacock ink and sponge the edges.  Adhere the two pieces together and then attach to card using dimensionals.

Add diamonds which have been colored with the Lt or Dk Pretty Peacock Blend.

Supplies used include:

Art Gallery bundle or suite, m 32-34
Blossoms in Bloom, 51
Pretty Peacock card stock, 143

Just Want to Say Card

Assemble the first three layers.

Lay the words on to the circle to see where you want to place them.  (I attached my words with glue and then I thought they looked a little flat so I cut out another set and attached them to the first ones by cutting little slices of mini glue dots.)  I think they’ll look great if you attach yours with glue dots.

Attach the circle to the designer paper layer.  I didn’t use dimensionals, but they would look great.

Attach the pearls which have been colored with the Dk Night of Navy Blends.

Supplies used include:

Fine Art bundle or suite, m 32-34

Dragonfly Hello Card

This one is very easy.

Attach the small Misty Moonlight (dry embossed piece) to the card base as shown.

Then add the designer paper layer.

Add the greeting using dimensionals.

Add the punched out dragonflies.  They were punched out from the designer paper.  You could put dimensionals under the dragonflies to add depth.  Add Wink of Stella to the dragonflies.

Attach the dragonfly.
