Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

Isn’t this chick adorable?  The two bundles are so cute and they’re perfect together.  Check out the dies; there are there are lots of dies that don’t have stamps to match, for example, a chicken coop, a banner sign, corn, etc.  Pictures of the dies (and sets) are shown below in an earlier post.

This one is assembled exactly as shown.

The edges of the focal piece are colored using the Blending Brushes.

You do need to stamp your greeting before you use the embossing folder.

Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick Bundles — Limited Time Only

Here’s the card I created.  I think it’s so cute and the “hair” reminds me of myself some days.

Hey Chick & Hey Birthday Chick Bundles Card

This card is so much fun and everything is cut out with the dies—even the corn!

The first thing I did was cut an oval out of the center of the designer paper.  The designer paper is cut at 5 ¼ x 4; I cut a smaller piece of white card stock 5 x 3 ¾ to attach to the back of the dsp.  Be sure to glue just around the edges of the white before attaching it as you’ll need to slip a few items into the oval and under the dsp.

I colored the chicken with Blends as listed below—I don’t think you could make a mistake.  After you color it, cut it out using the die.

I first put the corn stalk down using green glue and then added the ears of corn. I put the ear of corn into its little husk using glue dots and then I used more glue dots to attach them to the stalk.

I used dimensionals behind the sign itself and just glue to tuck it into the oval.

Use dimensionals to attach the chicken.

I once again used green glue for attaching the “Happy Birthday”.  I think it would be cuter to have this greeting a little lower on the card.

January 2021 Incentive Cards

Fine Art Floral Pretty Peacock Card

This is a very easy card and I think it’s beautiful.  It’s made using my favorite suite in the catalog—the Fine Art Floral suite.

I used the new Blending Brushes to add a little Pretty Peacock ink to the embossed Pool Party card stock.  They’re very fun to use and I love the way they work.  After I finished,  I just rinsed it out with water.

Attach the Pool Party piece to the card base.

Wrap the 10” piece of Pool Party sheer ribbon around the Pretty Peacock and designer paper layer and tie a knot.  Add that layer to the Pool Party layer using dimensionals.

Stamp your greeting using Pretty Peacock ink and sponge the edges.  Adhere the two pieces together and then attach to card using dimensionals.

Add diamonds which have been colored with the Lt or Dk Pretty Peacock Blend.

Just Want to Say Card

 

Assemble the first three layers.

Lay the words on to the circle to see where you want to place them.  (I attached my words with glue and then I thought they looked a little flat so I cut out another set and attached them to the first ones by cutting little slices of mini glue dots.)  I think they’ll look great if you attach yours with glue dots.

Attach the circle to the designer paper layer.  I didn’t use dimensionals, but they would look great.

Attach the pearls which have been colored with the Dk Night of Navy Blends.

Dragonfly Hello Card

This one is very easy.

Attach the small Misty Moonlight (dry embossed piece) to the card base as shown.

Then add the designer paper layer.

Add the greeting using dimensionals.

Add the punched out dragonflies.  They were punched out from the designer paper.  You could put dimensionals under the dragonflies to add depth.  Add Wink of Stella to the dragonflies.

Attach the designer series paper to the Basic Black card stock piece and attach that to the card base.

Attach the Mossy Meadow and the greeting piece to each other as shown.

Put a few dimensionals on the back and drape the trim back and forth as shown.  You’ll probably need to add a few more dimensionals to attach it to the card.

Attach the dragonfly.

January- June Mini Catalog Paper Shares –  Now with Pictures

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

Would you like to have a sample of all of the papers, ribbons, and embellishments that are in the new January-June mini catalog?  If so, please read on.

I finally have the shares ready for you to look at.  If you do not have the January-June mini catalog and the Sale-a-Bration brochure, please let me know and I’ll send them to you.

Each paper only share contains 69 each 6 x 6 pieces of paper and is priced at $25.  The paper/product shares are not all priced the same this time; I tried to price them all at $10 but couldn’t do it.I’ll remember to label the designer paper this time.  The Sale-a-Bration papers are not included.  You’ll receive the SAB papers FREE if you purchase the entire offering.

If you order everything, (all of the product shares and the paper share), the total will be $113, and I’ll give you a share of the four Sale-a-Bration designer papers as well as the card stock that goes with them FREE—a $20 value ($19.94).

All of the card stock is full sheets, 8 ½ x 11.

Moose & Trees Card

Adhere the white embossed card stock piece to the card base.

Attach the two pieces of Plaid Tidings designer paper to the Garden Green pieces as shown, and attach them to the card.

Attach the trees with tiny dots of glue.  Banner the ends of the narrow white piece and stamp the greeting.

Attach the moose with dimensionals and add his scarf with glue or glue dots.

Tie the little bow and attach it with glue dots.

Six Trees Card

Attach the Poinsettia Plush paper to the card base.

Start laying your trees into place as you want them.  (I think the middle layer on my card has the trees too far apart and the top layer too high.)

Once you have your trees the way you want them, attach them with snail or glue.

Add the bow with a glue dot and add the red Wonderful Gem to it.

Attach the greeting using dimensionals.

Add the ribbon, and you’re finished.

Fussy cut out three turtles and set them aside.

Attach the Whale of a Time designer paper to the embossed Pool Party piece.

Wrap the ribbon around that piece and tie a bow.  Attach that to the card base.

Attach the turtles using dimensionals.

Attach the greeting using dimensionals and add its Wonderful Gems.

Attach the “bubbles”—the Holiday Rhinestone jewels

My “Tough Old Broad” Story

My “Tough Old Broad” Story

I am writing this post on Thanksgiving and among all the other great things I am thankful for is the fact that I am here to celebrate this wonderful day.

I’m sure that most of you remember that I was in a pretty bad UTV accident in August, 2019.

I was riding in the UTV with my sister-in-law and granddaughter, Molly.  We were just taking a leisurely ride around Jeff & Julie’s property—they had bought property and built a house there. By the way, a UTV is kind of like a Razor with a bench seat across.)

We were having a tour of their property when suddenly the UTV took off.  Molly “so thankfully” had put her seatbelt on and she was sitting in the middle.  I was thrown out and the UTV went into the ditch and rolled a couple of times.  Molly stayed in—thanks to her seatbelt—and Julie was thrown out after it rolled into the ditch.

I was the most seriously injured and was flown to UC Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs.  I was in the ICU for a few days and then spent a few more days in the normal area of the hospital.  In total I had five surgeries.  Today I have almost no lingering accident issues.

When our sons-in-law saw that I was pretty tough to handle all of that without too much fuss, they began calling me a tough old broad in a very loving way.  I love it and them.

I hope you all had a good Thanksgiving Day.  Unfortunately, our families had to celebrate the day in separate family gatherings due to the COVID issues.  We did a lot of texting and exchanging of photos.

Hopefully, Thanksgiving next year will be “normal”.
