Best Birds Card

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

May 5 was my 18th anniversary as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator.  It has been SO much fun.  I’ve met wonderful people, traveled the world, and made some extra money.

In honor of this anniversary, I’ll give you an 18% discount on any one item on an online order when you use the hostess code.  That means that I’ll mail you a check for the 18%.  To place an order visit www.stampinlady.com or click on this link and use this hostess code:   2G3HBFMW    SHOP NOW

This offer is good for 5 days and will end on Friday, May 12.  It cannot be combined with any other offers that I’ve put out.  It’s a fun way for me to celebrate my anniversary and give all of you a big thank you for your support.  Thank you so much!!!!

I want to share this beautiful bird card with you.  We made it at a recent event and everybody loved it.

As I’ve said before, I have very little talent, but I’m very good at copying.  So, probably most of this card is CASEd.  (That stands for Copy & Share Everything.)

It’s classy and pretty easy.  It does have a little coloring, but other than that, it’s very easy.

The background was stamped with Soft Suede to keep it fairly light.  You could probably use the Chocolate Chip pad and stamp off.  The bird and branch are stamped with the Chocolate Chip pad and then colored with the colored pencils.  Then it’s carefully blended with the blender pens.

The reason I say carefully is that Chocolate Chip ink is not a permanent ink and it could smear.  The permanent colors are Archival Basic Gray & Archival Basic Black.  They just didn’t seem to fit the bill this time.

The only other thing that’s a bit different is on the leaves.  We first colored them with the Old Olive colored pencil and then went over it with the Cucumber Crush marker.

I hope you enjoy this card; it’s a fun card and made with a bundle that I hadn’t used.  The stamp set & framelits are coming back in the new catalog, but they aren’t bundled so you lose out on that 10% discount.

Please let me know if you have any questions.  I love to talk stamping.

Hugs to each of you, Pat
