In our last post, we gave you a sneak preview of for the August Rewards cards. This post contain the directions.
Don’t miss out on the items on your wish list that are in the current catalog as it ends on Monday, August 31st. I imagine that some of the items will carry over onto Online Exclusives, but I have no idea about what they’ll be.
One item that I think everybody should have is the set of Stylish Shapes dies. The item number is 159183 and the price is $30. These dies are not in the new catalog.
There will also be a release of Online Exclusives on the first.
The August Product of the Month is beautiful 12 x 12 specialty designer paper; it’s called Glow of Harvest. As of the moment, it’s still available. I don’t think you want to miss out on it or the new September Product of the Month, which is also beautiful 12 x 12 specialty designer paper called Luxe Foliage. Autumn Opulence Six-Circle Card

There are two versions of this card that I send out. You’ll receive one of the two. The Autumn Opulence specialty designer paper is just beautiful and it becomes available on Tuesday, September 1st.
The cards are exactly as they look. There are dimensionals under the greeting piece. I love using the small arches dies for greetings.

I gave you an extra piece of Early Espresso card stock on which to glue the strips. The strips will hang over the edge and you’ll trim them off after you’ve glued them.
I started by putting one of the strips in the middle and worked my way both up & down. You’ll have plenty of paper. If you come up with a space on the top or bottom, you can fill it in with one of the edges that you trim off.
I made quite a mess when I put this card together so I have a tip for you that you might already have thought about. I highly recommend that you put the glue on the Espresso piece to save the big mess instead of doing it the way I did. I put glue on each strip (I used glue so that I could wiggle the strip tightly against the next one) and then added it to the extra piece of Espresso card stock, resulting in glue from the trimmed off pieces sticking to things they shouldn’t have.
The 7th strip will be used for the vertical “binding” piece—it will be glued on top of the other strips.
Tie the ribbon around the “strips” piece before attaching it to the card base.

Oval Violets Card

I gave you an extra piece of Basic White card stock so that you could more easily glue the designer paper pieces to the card front. The ribbon is also wrapped around this piece after the first layer of designer paper is adhered.
The violets oval is glued to the front of the scalloped oval and there are dimensionals under it and the greeting piece.

This one is pretty much exactly as it looks.
I thought the Golden Glow leaf piece was too large for the card front so I trimmed a little off from the bottom. I’d love to see how yours turns out.
