2024 Blessing Breakfasts

December 30, 2024

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

This will just be a quick note to tell you about our Blessing Breakfasts.

The first one was held on Saturday, December 6, at Village Inn on South Wadsworth, not too far north of 285.  It was a success.

We ended up having 10 attendees including Jim & me.  Some of the guests brought money that their friends had given them to add to our server’s gift.

We ended up with $250 for our server, Jose.  I think he was shocked and thrilled.  He shook my hand and then Jim’s.  I told him that it was from everybody and that he should shake everybody’s hand.  I’m not sure that he did; it was a little busy at our table right then so I might have missed it.

The second Blessing Breakfast was held on Saturday, December 14th at IHOP at Belmar.  There were 8 of us including Jim & me.  It was also a success.  Our server was Gabby and she was absolutely thrilled.  She was shaking & crying and hugged each of us.  She was shocked.  We had $180 for her as one person couldn’t make it and asked that I put her $20 in.  Gabby has a daughter.

I took a Christmas card to each breakfast, and we each signed our first name in it.  It made me so happy.  Thank you so much for participating.

I’ve already put next year’s Blessing Breakfast dates on my calendar; I’d love to have you join us.  It felt really good.  The dates for 2025 are December 6 & December 12.  Mark your calendars so you can enjoy the fun with us.

My next event will be Friday, January 24, and it will be Bingo.  More details to follow.

Many hugs to each of you, Pat

October 2024 Rewards Cards

November 16, 2024

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

I hope you’re doing well.  We’re hanging in there.  My migraines have been pretty bad this month, and I’ve had some sinus-type headaches, too.  I’m always searching for the cause of each one, but I never figure it out.  I’m due for my Botox injections next week so maybe that will help.

We took the October Rewards packets to the post office yesterday so you should receive them within the next few days.  I especially love this month’s cards—it seems like there’s something for everybody.

If you’d like to place an order that’s under $150 and not a club order, please use my host code  DNWQ2J6U.  To place an order, visit www.stampinlady.com and click on Shop Now, Shop Here.

I found a kit that I’m going to use for Christmas gifts  It’s the Nature’s Painting kit.  It contains 24 really nice quality sheets of printed floral designs (4” x 6”)  for you to color with the 8 included watercolor pencils.  You can then blend the colors with the included water painter.  I have some on hand if you want me to put one on the porch for you—we can talk about payment options.  To see this kit, visit www.stampinlady.com, click on shop now, shop here.  Then click on Menu, Shop Products, and then Kits.  Or, you can order it as usual. It’s pretty cool and the first one of its kind.

As always, please let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.  Call or text 303-888-1862.

Thank you so much, Pat

Sentimental Christmas Suite Stocking Card

Original by Cheri Stojkovich

This card is much easier than it looks.

The card is actually the white card stock, which has been scored for you. It tucks into the pocket that you create.  The last time we sent you a pocket card, we attached tear n tape to the back for you, and I forgot about it this time.  Tear n tape is the best for this application, but glue is good, too.  You’ll just need to let it dry.

The Baker’s Twine is wrapped around the folded card, putting the twine through the inside of the card.

There are dimensionals under the stocking.

Supplies used include:

Simply Said Splendid Autumn Cajun Craze Birthday Card

Inspired by Mary Fish

Isn’t this a beautiful card?!  And it’s so easy.

Attach the embossed strip to the card base and then add the designer paper.  (We cut the dsp at 3 inches wide so that we can get two cards out of one sheet of 6 x 6 dsp.  That doesn’t include the flap.)  These two pieces butt up against each other.

Stamp your greeting and then add the Neutrals linen thread.   Adhere the strip of Wild Wheat ribbon to the front of the card.  Then add dimensionals to the back of the greeting piece and position your gold leaves, attaching them to the dimensionals.

Supplies used include:

Regal Winter Cherry Cobbler Card

Original by Nancy Ferb

This card is scored for you.  It’s a short fold that you can attach the designer paper to.

The second picture shows that you can see the back side of the dsp from the inside.  The dsp is cut slightly shorter than the card base, and it lines up with the white inside piece.  So, attach the white piece to the inside first, leaving about 1/8” around it for the Cherry Cobbler card stock to show.  Then, put adhesives on the back side of that short little fold.  Do not put the dsp all the way to the fold.  It needs to line up with the inside white piece when the card is closed.  It should be about 1/8” from the fold edge. It sounds harder than it is.

Cut the ribbon in half and attach both pieces to the back of the greeting piece with dimensionals. Add the other dimensionals that you need for the greeting piece.

Supplies used include:

Simply Said stamp set, 19
Unbounded Love suite, 55
Cherry Cobbler card stock, 137

Copper Clay Splendid Autumn Card

Inspired by Lisa Ann Bernard

This one is exactly as it looks.

We attached the dsp to the card base as it was easier to cut the layers together for lining-up purposes.  Adhere the inside piece to the card base.  We stamped through the hole in order to position the greeting correctly.  Add the circle frame.

June 2024 Rewards Cards

July 13, 2024

Hello My Dear Stamping Friends,

Here are the June rewards cards.  Thank you so much for your $50+ order; I love sending these packets to you.

I asked for opinions regarding creating all four cards from the same designer paper and it seems that you like that idea.  We’ll do that for at least awhile. Sometimes it’s a little difficult, but I’m loving the cards.  I hope you are, too.

If you’d like to place an order that isn’t a club order or over $150, visit www.stampinlady.com and click on Shop Now, Shop Here.  Please use my host code:  TUSJZ42J.  July gives us Bonus Days during which you receive a $5 coupon, to be spent in August, for every $50 order you place (before tax and shipping).

Check out my Bargain Bin under the Bargain Bin tab.  There are great deals there.  I’m clearing out my older retired products at deeply discounted prices.

Our next event will be Bingo on August 23.  I’d love to hold a spot for you.  I know you’ll have a good time and everybody goes home with a Bingo prize.

Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help in any way.  Call or text 303-888-1862.

Enjoy these cards.  Thank you so much, Pat

Wildly Flowering Designer Paper Moody Mauve Card

Original by Su Mohr

Attach the designer paper to the white layer and then wrap the linen thread around those 2 layers, tying a bow on the left side as shown. Attach that layer to the card base.

Stamp the greeting and assemble the greeting pieces separately.  We added Moody Mauve ink to the front of the greeting piece using Blending Brushes.

You need to lay them in place and then flip them over (making sure they’re lined up the way you want them).  Use scotch tape to hold them together.  Having them separate lets you interchange the colors, but it makes it a little tricky to assemble.

There are dimensionals under the assembled greeting piece.

You have enough designer paper to fussy cut at least 3 flowers.  Each of them is attached with a mini glue dot.

Supplies used include:

Wildflower Designs suite or bundle, 40-41
Wonderful Thoughts stamp set, 80
Thoughtful Wishes bundle, 47
Moody Mauve card stock, 139

Wildly Flowering Designer Paper Bookmark Card

Inspired by Doreen

I love this card.  Doreen sent one to me using different supplies, and it’s perfect for a little bookmark treat for your friends.

The In Color trim that we used is very curly.  I decided to wet it and then lay it out to dry—it worked perfectly.

We added Tear & Tape to the back of the pocket piece so that you’ll have great sticking power on it.  You’ll just need to peel the cover from the strips.
